One worker was injured after he fell in a crane accident at Vancouver Pile Driving yard The injured worker was tossed 30 feet into the air during a barge crane accident in North Vancouver on July 25, 2008. Workers were lifting a smaller crane onto a large barge-mounted crane, when one worker tried to shake loose an off-balance load as the operator continued to lift the boom.
When the load came free, it rose suddenly into the air, tossing the injured worker into the air. The man was taken to hospital with injuries to his back and legs. Luckily not more workers were injured.
